about

being the survivor of nomadic hippie parents, i traveled extensively throughout the U.S. during the seventies. while the elusive search for "home" was ever present, a mobile and spontaneous childhood exposed me to a wider world, made me a gatherer of whatever was around and taught me how to be resourceful. piecing bits together and building a story (a home) wherever i happen to be at that moment have always been my primary means of self-expression. the momentum carried forward. after 42 residences in 31 years, i landed on the west coast and currently split my time between a painting studio in berkeley and a cabin in joshua tree. i like to think my work now illustrates an inclination towards the layering of life’s tiny yet significant details.
